Very nice New Year's Eve in Pete's lodge. The accommodation is very large, clean, and well-equipped. Heating is thanks to the fireplace, which can be a little difficult to master, but is very nice in winter.

A lovely "lodge" with ample room for 6 people (we were 4 adults and 2 young children). The children enjoyed playing on the trampoline, the zip line and seeing the sheep. The easy-to-use wood burning stove kept us warm.

We stayed for 4 nights in January to enjoy a cozy family holiday and hoped to see some snow (so we did!). They were very responsive in all our communications and gave us all necessary information. The house was very clean and well-equipped. We had everything we needed for cooking, plenty of wood for the fireplace. They even set up the safety gates for our 1 year-old to avoid any accidents (there are two sets of stairs as the place is set on 3 levels). The rooms were very comfortable, spacious (especially the top floor) and warm. There were lots of books and DVDs for entertainment, as well as an abundance of toys for kids. This place is perfectly equipped for a family holiday with children. The property itself is wonderfully located in the countryside with lots of walking paths to see the beautiful scenery nearby, whilst there are plenty of shops within 15 mins drive away (Intermarché, Lidl, Carrefour, etc). We were even luckier as the whole place was covered in snow on our last days, simply breathtaking surroundings. They also provided detailed recommendations for places to do sledging in the area (our favourite was Lac de Bethmale – magnificent place, so serene!). Thanks a lot again and we'll definitely be coming back again.
