El anfitrión hizó que nos sintieramos muy cómodos durante la estancia. Cualquier cosa que necesitaramos, siempre estaba muy pendiente, aunque se mantenia en un segundo plano para que disfrutaramos de nuestra estancia en familia. La casa es muy espaciosa, muy iluminada y esta situada en la parte alta del pueblo. Es una zona muy tranquila en la que se escucha el cantar de los pájaros y tiene mucho espacio al aire libre. Cien por cien recomendado, esperamos volver pronto.

Pete’s done an amazing restoration job on the house and it’s lovely inside and out. There are too many outstanding features to point out individually but the heating throughout the house from the ground floor fireplace is particularly beautiful. The house really feels like luxury when you’re inside but at the same time it’s nice and ‘homey’ too. We were travelling as a party of four and no one cared which of the three bedrooms they took because they were all so beautiful. Pete and his family were the perfect hosts too, friendly, relaxed and welcoming, offering us their workshop in which to assemble our bikes, and even having a complimentary jar of local honey waiting for us upon our arrival. And the position of the chateau is exquisite, just minutes from the facilities of Saint-Girons in one direction and Castillon in the other, but with a lovely rural feel. We had a wonderful stay there and wold love to go back.

Our host was very welcoming and kind, we had everything we needed and more, this Chateau is the best we have ever stayed in, our hosts had thought of everything. There was a brochure provided of the area, surrounding markets, restaurants, local produce, just everything you could wish for, like a “trip advisor” on the grounds! The Chateau is newly renovated, but keeping its vintage charm, very well equipped, comfy beds, excellent shower/bath, just perfect, really the best place we have stayed in! (and we traveled with my in-laws that agreed and have been holidaying in France for the last 30 years)!

Un séjour en hiver dans un gîte de charme idéalement situé dans un petit village typique de l’Ariege.
La maison, ancienne loge du château, est grande et spacieuse et bénéficie d’installations modernes neuves qui rendent le séjour très confortable et agréable.
La région est un lieu hors du temps, magnifique propice aux balades dans la nature.
Les propriétaires sont très accueillants et sympathiques.
Nombreuses activités à proximité et producteurs régionaux (fromagerie de Moulis, apiculteur de Pouech, croustades de Crespo à St Girons, etc.)
Nous recommandons vivement ce lieu pour des vacances en famille ou entre amis avec des enfants, même en bas âge dans lequel nous reviendrons avec plaisir.

We spend one weekend in Pete’s house and it was all perfect for us. Very nice and confortable place. It was all things that we need, kitchen is completly with plain tools that we need, specially the chimney, that it was preparated for us when we arrived and it sems very hoter. Nous avons été très bien accueillis par Pete; la loge est très bien rénovée, tout le confort est au rendez-vous! Le château est situé dans un petit coin d’Ariège très charmant et à proximité de Saint girons ce qui est fort pratique! A recommander!!!

Una casa preciosa en un entorno idílico. Mis amigos y yo, 8 personas en total, pasamos 2 noches en la casa de Pete. Nos recibió con la chimenea encendida y la casa ya caliente para nuestra llegada. Nos recomendó rutas y nos trajo mapas. La casa está totalmente equipada para vivir: tiene sábanas, colchas, toallas, lavavajillas, lavadora, utensilios de cocina, etc. El mobiliario y la decoración de la casa es agradable y acogedor, ideal para pasar un fin de semana invernal. Visitamos el pueblo de Saint Girons y los alrededores nevados, tenemos unas fotos increíbles en la nieve. Gracias Pete por este maravilloso puente y cumpleaños que nunca olvidaremos. Nos gustaría repetirlo algún día.

On a passé un séjour parfait chez Pete. A notre arrivée on était agréablement accueilli avec un feu dans la cheminée et un pot de miel du village ce qui nous a fait beaucoup de plaisir.
L’appartement est chaleureux,fonctionnel et très spacieux. Rien n’y manque. On a très bien dormi grâce à la bonne literie et le calme du village.
On se sent très bien accueilli chez Pete et Dalila, ils sont contents de recevoir des gens.
Pete nous a indiqué des sentiers de randonnées et d’escalade ce qui nous a beaucoup aidé car nous ne connaissons pas du tout la région.
On reviendrait avec plaisir!
